Madeleine Kate Hyland was raised in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Manchester, and New Zealand. Her parents, Jean Hyland and Kim Tait, met at Moonshine Community Arts Workshop in Kensal Green, London. She is an actress, singer, and writer, best known for playing Kevin Rowland's muse on Dexys 2012 album and worldwide tour 'One Day I'm Going to Soar' as captured in the Heavenly Films documentary/concert film 'Nowhere is Home' and on BBC's 'Later...with Jools Holland' (episode 40.5 and Hootenanny 2013). She has appeared in numerous theatre productions across the UK, including the Royal Shakespeare Company's Olivier and Tony award-winning 'Wolf Hall' and 'Bring Up the Bodies', which played in the West End and on Broadway, and has been a member of The Factory theatre company for over nine years, playing regularly in Tim Carroll's productions of 'Hamlet', 'The Seagull' and 'The Odyssey'.
