Donnabella Mortel is an American actress and producer, born and raised by immigrant parents in Seattle, Washington with her older sister, younger brother, and large extended family. Mortel was born an entertainer, participating in school musicals, dance performances, and modeling at a young age. She became the cheerleading and dance team captain for Seattle Preparatory School, where she excelled academically and commenced after her junior year. She continued as a cheerleader through her years at Seattle University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Criminal Justice specializing in Forensic Psychology and a B.A. in Humanities. Mortel was honored with the Kelliher Award for earning the highest cumulative GPA in her graduating department. Upon graduation, she began her professional career as a dance team member for the NBA with the Seattle SuperSonics. Mortel has since focused on her acting career and producing projects like "Retail" and "Specious" with Creative Geniusess. Landing dynamic roles ranging from a saucy business-woman to an overly-helpful retail worker, Mortel has been cast in hit shows including "How to Get Away with Murder on ABC," "Jane the Virgin" on CW, and CBS's "NCIS."
