Daniel Velasco is an actor born and raised in New York City. He started acting in commercials and theater at a young age influenced by his mother, a former Filipino Folk dancer, and godfather who was in the original production of Miss Saigon. While studying theatre at Fordham University and the London Dramatic Academy, he became a recipient of the Denzel Washington Scholarship, which allowed him to continue his artistic development. Upon graduating, he was cast as the lead in the play Year Zero by Michael Golamco at the Merrimack Repertory Theatre in Lowell, Massachusetts and followed it up with co-star roles in The Slap (NBC) and The Detour (TBS).
